For the curious,

Cole Rise has spent the better half of his life taking pleasure behind the lens; stalking cows and lying in the grass to capture the landscape. His work has been featured in a notable amount of international creative magazines, books, billboards, websites, posters, and even a few CD covers for bands you can find in most music stores. He can't tell you how big the universe is, or why we're really here, but his work sometimes flirts with the idea of knowing.
You can follow him on Twitter here.

Che Male Fa

Che male fa
stringere i denti
per una volta
anche se so
che del mio cuore
poco t'importa.
Vorrei rubarti un pò d'amore,
se l'ho tutto per me
e se tra te e me
c'è un mondo,
che male c'è.
Tu
credermi amica
per una sera
fingere ma
anche così
darti tutto di me.
E non capire più
tra falso e vero
che spazio c'è.
Tu
un gioco che può essere pazzia
e con te mi sembra ancora
più bella e sana l'avventura
Tu
nostalgia
Che male fa
stringere i denti
per una volta
anche se so
che del mio cuore
poco t'importa.
Vorrei rubarti un pò d'amore,
se l'ho tutto per me
e se tra te e me
c'è un mondo,

Music: Tita Merello con la orquesta de (with the orchestra of) Francisco Canaro - Dónde hay un mango? - Lyrics

Dónde hay un mango?

Ranchera
Music: Francisco Canaro
Lyric: Ivo Pelay

Dog Sledding season - coming to a close

The well-known Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, held in Alaska, welcomed its first native Alaskan champion since 1976. Begun in 1973, the grueling race - through blizzards, whiteout conditions, sub-zero temperatures, gale-force winds - covers 1,150 miles in nine to fifteen days from Willow to Nome, Alaska. There are many other sled dog races in locations around the world, including races in Norway, British Columbia, Slovakia, Spain, Czech Republic, Minsk, and through the Alps of France and Switzerland. The following images are a collection from those races. -- Paula Nelson (42 photos total)
