It is not easy select a genius in the photography (today, I'm posting geniuses in differents arts)
Do not know how the language is going in Europe, over here, in Argentina, also I see that in all America, included USA, the word genius is very easy to give for people, so, all are geniuses.
But many conditions have to have a genius to be.
As I understand the word genius, Man Ray is one.
First condition to be a genius: a genius have to revolutionize his art or profession, with a cut in the history, scandal is not the only cut, as likes to see to the young, or to the immature persons.
Arbus is a great photographer, but I do not have an appreciation of Diane as a genius, her compositions are commons, at present, the persons are looking abnormals, because freakness have some prestige in art, and that is a wrong point of view, as I think, observing, if I put my mind in an historical scale.
The compositions from Man Ray are perfect.
He revolutionized the photography with a new point of view, putting the photography in the highlands of art as the art requires, with a great sensibility, with a historical feeling, taking the currents of his time, but going a step ahead of his time.
Also his commercials works, as Electricité, I put in first place one of the works of that serie, are in the top of the photographic art, full of suggestion.
That is the key of the art of Man Ray, he always uses: poetry, he is a thinker that have in the base of his mind and feeling, the totalizing power of poetry.
He is unique, and of course, he is (not was) a genius.

No es fácil seleccionar un genio en la fotografía (hoy, les estoy posteand genios en diferentes artes)
No sé cómo el lenguaje va en Europa, aquí, en Argentina, también veo que en toda América, incluido EE.UU., la palabra genio es muy fácil dar a la gente, así, todos son genios.
Pero muchas condiciones tiene que tener un genio para serlo.
Tal como yo entiendo la palabra genio, Man Ray es uno.
Primera condición para ser un genio: un genio revolucionará su arte o profesión, con un corte en la historia, no solo el escándalo es el corte, como le gusta ver a los jóvenes, o a las personas inmaduras.
Arbus es un gran fotógrafo, pero no tengo una apreciación de Diane como un genio, sus composiciones son comunes, en la actualidad, las personas están buscando anormales, porque subnormalidad tiene cierto prestigio en el arte, y eso es un punto de vista equivocado, como creo, observando, si pongo mi mente en una escala histórica.
Las composiciones de Man Ray son perfectas.
Él revolucionó la fotografía con un nuevo punto de vista, poniendo la fotografía en las tierras altas del arte como el arte requiere, con una gran sensibilidad, con un sentimiento histórico, tomando las corrientes de su tiempo, pero va un paso por delante de su tiempo.
También sus obras comerciales, como Electricité, que puse en un primer lugar de las obras de dicha serie, se encuentran en la parte superior de la técnica fotográfica, llena de sugerencias.
Esa es la clave del arte de Man Ray, que siempre usa: la poesía, él es un pensador que tienen en la base de su mente y sentimiento, el poder totalizador de la poesía.
Él es único, y por supuesto, que es (no fue) un genio.
